Goal Setting for July 2018

I know I’m a little late, but I wanted to make sure I did get a post up about my July goal setting process and a little reflection for my June goals.

June flew by so quickly and I cannot believe we are starting the second half of 2018!  I have had some major accomplishments so far this year, thanks to my goal setting process, but I have also had some things take longer than planned or not going as planned at all.

Let’s take a look

In June, I had wanted to focus on making some extra money online.  After assessing my key priorities, I decided that focusing on my finances, and my financial stability would be the best area to focus on, as it’s the one that is the furthest from where I want it.  Making extra money would allow me to pay off some credit cards, and start planning a weekend trip away – both of which were part of my 10 goals that I came up with in June.

As I am writing this post, I have earned $20 online.  I am taking this as a small victory, but I am far off from where I wanted to be by this point.  But, because I reflect on my goals on a monthly basis, re-evaluate my mission, and set new goals, I know what I need to focus on now.

A major win for June

If you have been following me for some time, you know that I have been working on my first ebook – a goal setting ebook.  Well, in the last week of June, I DID IT! I finally was able to publish the book! The Ultimate Goal Setting Guide covers the process that I take every month in great detail.  I teach you how to go through the process and give you templates in the back to get started if you don’t already have a favorite journal; or, if you don’t want to buy a bullet journal. I am so incredibly proud of this ebook, AND so excited to share it with you!  To learn more about my Ultimate Goal Setting Guide, you can click the link on the title, or visit my store on my blog!

Goal reflection

My ebook was a major goal that I was able to cross off.  Another goal that is recorded as a win is my following growth on Instagram.  I cannot do any of this without my followers, and because of that, I appreciate every single one of you!  I am here to serve others, so to see my following keep increasing is an unbelievable feeling!

What’s next?  My goal setting process

Now that my ebook is published, one of my goals is to promote it like crazy.  This should not be hard, because I believe it in so much. I believe that I wouldn’t be doing what I’m doing without this process and I definitely believe that it can help you.  Another goal is to continue to increase my IG following, organically, to a pretty tough number. But, I have the tools, I just need to be consistent with them. Other goals include working on ideas to make some extra income, personal development goals, and hopefully get closer to taking that weekend trip away.  Self-care is so important, and I believe I need that weekend trip to recharge my drive and my energy.

Forward and onward

I did my brain dump of all the tasks that I want to get accomplished during the month. And, I have already been able to cross some of them off.  By creating this list (and adding to it throughout the month) I am able to free up my brain space to focus on the task at hand. When I don’t have to try to keep track of what I need to do in my brain, I am able to focus more on what I am doing – did you know your brain works that way?  Pretty cool, huh?

I will continue to check back to my goals page, and my brain dump to keep moving forward toward accomplishing my goals.  I hope you are doing the same, whether you use my process or another one!
